hi guys,
I am new to this forum, this sub forum caught my attention, and I could not stop reading all the experiences posted so far.
I have been travelling in and out of US for many times, on different visas, but I have never ever thought of overstaying.
But anyway, from what I have read so far, if I would have been in one of the cases that are presented here, I would have not spent a dime on any lawyer. The advices, free advices that a member is giving here, dafortycal , are beating any advice or recommendation that an immigration lawyer could give. The man used to work for INS, probably he is retired right now, I bet that in his hands passed thousands of deportation letters. some of you are accusing him as being rude, being and seeing what he had seen in the last 20 years in the immigration processes, you can consider yourself lucky that he even replies to you.
If I would ever need an pertinent advice regarding the subject discusses in this sub-forum, a real one, I would crawl and beg dafortycal to help me with his legal counseling. I do not know, how many of you that are posting here are Immigration lawyer, but I bet that this guy, knows his business better than 85% of the immigration lawyers advertise here.
this is my pure opinion, only from reading so far all the acid or not acid comments that he posted.
now, I have read that in many cases, the subjects were picked over from the street by ICE. how this can happened. It never ever happened to me and I can tell you that I have never even hear or saw something like that.
how do they do it, based on what facts? they have information on the subjects, they do randomly, they build side blocks and check everybody? i have never ever carried my passport with me to prove to someone that I am legal in US. I have traveled into US by air, not carrying anything else besides my US Driver licence. nothing else, and nobody stopped me to question me or ask me anything else. I am surprised and shocked of the experiences posted here.
