Hi
I have sent my RFI on december 19, and the due date is december 30.
I used priority mail service and delivery confirmation service. But until now, the nebraska office hasn't received it yet. Is there something with my package? is it lost in the mail? how can I confirm it? If INS doesn't receive it by the due date, will they deny it? what will happen with my status then? deportation?

Thank you

Did you sent it via registered mail? If they failed to get it, the worst is that you give up application of G/C this time. They will send you a denial letter, then you apply again. Wait for another few years. Your Asylum status cannot be changed unless they found out there is fraud in your case. Do not worry too much enjoy Chiristmas Days.

Hi!
Call ins immidiately after Cristmas and asked them if rfi is received. if not, let them know you have a proof of sending it(post office receipt). hopefully, you did copies of the rfi before you sent it. in case, ins didn't get your rfi, they may ask you to mail the copies.
I agree with cody about the asylum status. Green card is based on it, but is separate from your current asylum status.
cheer up! everything will be ok; don't worry too much. :)

It donesn't help much to call csv. They share the same updated information as you have. You probably need to wait a few more days. Remember that it is the holiday season and this may cause the delay.
Did you order a return receipt when you sent it? Pay several bucks more which will save you much more worries later. Absolutely worth the price.
Anyway happy Christmas and leave all the worries next year!
