Advice - Will Canada Pr Impact Cp

Hi,

My I-140 is pending and I am hoping to go to Chennai
for a CP interview next year.

I have also applied and successfully completed Canadian
PR process. I have to LAND and become a PR within 6
months. I was wondering if this will have any adverse
impact on my CP. Can my CP be rejected on account of having
a recent Canadian PR?

I want to hear from anyone in the same situation.

Thanks a lot.

Regards,
MM.

It should not, you may be asked about it but if your demonstratable intention is to take up residence in the US and give up your Canadian one, then it is not an issue. Once you have it, you would be well advised to have the Canadian one cancelled right away so that INS does not have a reason to believe that you are trying to maintain two PRs and decide to take the US one away.

Best is if you don't land (if possible) and so don't really take up the PR in Canada.
