I'm toying with the idea of changing my I-140 application from EB3 to EB2.
I have a Bachelors Degree in Technology(Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering) with close to 8 years of experience(prior to joining my current employer). I have been with this employer since 10/1/2003.
I'm currently using a Substitute Labor for the GC process. The approved LC states 'Programmer, Engineering And Scientific' as the Alien's Occupation. The person for whom the original labor was applied, has a Bachlelors Degree in Engineering.
Based on the above information, will I be able to convert my application from EB3 to EB2.
What would be the pros and cons? Let me know if I need to provide any additional information.
Any suggestion/advice will be very helpful.
