I entered the US last in 99 on a student entry visa which has since expired.
In 2000 I switched to an H-1b visa.
My 6 year time expires this November.
My employer filed for my I-140 this year and I expect to be approved in the next 2-3 weeks.
Afterwards my employer will file for my H-1B 3 year extension.
I have never left the US since 1999 and I am currently a citizen of Jordan. I am looking to take a trip out of the US this year after my H-1b 3 year extension is approved. What I am wondering is how difficult it is to obtain a re-entry visa to the US on the basis of my H-1b that i would already have approved, and how long it would take if I were to do this at a US consulate say in Vancouver?
