I need your help..
here is my situation:
VSC, EB3, 485 applied Feb 2000. PD is Aug 98.
Have EAD card..No FP.
My last project has ended Dec 30, 2000.
I am a PowerBuilder Professional and it is getting hard finding sub-contracting positions in my area. All the people
who have the PB projects are asking me to join their companies.. which ofcourse I cannot do..
My employer today called me and told me to go ahead and take those jobs !!!
He said that my Green Card processing wont be jeapordized and that I can work on the EAD card and that he will not
do anything to jeapordize it.. he said that as long as I will come back to his company later on, there will be no problem.
That he will give me any documentation needed if I get a RFE.. now that brings the question of what kind of RFEs are
people getting? employment letter - he can always give me a employment letter? pay stubs - should the pay stubs be
from the sponsoring employer or just pay stubs ? my employer said something like, if they ask, we will tell them that I am
on a leave of absence and that I will come back to their company or that they sent me to the other company to gain new
skills and that I will be back..
Is that ok? can I use my EAD card to work for some other employer now? will it not jeapordize my Green Card? they say
Green card is for a job in the future.. then how come some people are getting RFEs for employment letters and pay checks?
If I get a RFE asking for my employment letter or pay checks, since I will not have them from my original green card sponsor if
I do the above, will it not affect my green card?!!
I dont know if I should rejoice or be sad..
can anybody please advice me?
also, please tell me what kind of RFEs do people get?
