Advice needed

I am changing job from San Francisco to new jersey and moving in a few days and I have a few questions.

1. Is it better for me to stay with the same lawyer provided by my current employer or possibly use the lawyer provided by my new employer, if I have the choice?

2. My 485 was file in march 2003 and till now it is still pending. My first finger printing already expired and FP2 never came. So I call USCIS today and surprisingly, this guy told me that my case has been transferred to SFO, and this never showed up on the case status, and my current lawyer never knew this. What will be the problem if my case is with SFO but I am actually in east coast? Anyway to avoid the possible problems?

Any advice is very much appreciated.

1. stick to the same lawyer
2. will someone can take care of your mails comes to your current 485 address? if they call for interview, come to SFO and attend. lawyer wont know until the mail knocks his door.. status update.. is not a medicine..

this is my view... not a suggestion!

Thanks a lot. I guess that will take forever for SFO to process my case, another year of agony.

Another question I have is, if my case is really transferred to SFO, or stays with CSC, but I am in east coast, so when I renew my EAD or AP, should I apply at VSC or CSC, or SFO local office (if my case is really transferred)? Thanks again...
