Present situation:
-Working in USA on a H1-B, have an EAD.
-Filed for I485 in October, 2002.
-Evaluating a permanent job opportunity in India.
-Current job HR has informed me that if I accept the offer,
my green card processing will be stopped.
I need to evaluate the effects of my possible
shift to India with reference to future visas ( H1 / B1 / B2 ).
i.e : If at a later date ( after my current h1b has expired ),
I decide to come to the US on a temporary work / visitor visa
what are the chances of my visa application getting rejected.
The job opportunity in India is attractive,
but I would think twice if accepting it meant that
any future visa applications would be rejected ( potential immigrant ).
I would appreciate your opinion on this.
Addtionally:
After getting the GC, if I decide to shift to India permanently;
Can I give up my GC & what effect will it have on future visa
applications?
Thanks
