Advice/Info need on I-140 May '02 case

Details :

I-140 EB3, RD : May 10th 2002.

Applied I-485, in Sept '02 FP done in Nov'02 and got EAD in Oct'02.


Having said that , I haven't heard anything about my I-140 for than an year, on May 29th '03 my attorney informed me saying that he spoke with the BCIS and they said my case may be getting an RFE and it is "waiting to be typed" . The online status still shows(as of today) that same dreaded message taking b/w 30 -360 days for my case.

Has anyone is aware of this kind of scenario , how long does it take to type and send the RFE,

Any info is welcome, and Thanks in Advance

usually it takes 2-4 weeks after your online status changes " we have requested more information or addtional documents for this case".
Ask to your lawyer when he asked then count one month.
I faced same problem.
my lawyer talked to BCIS on april first week, I received RFE may 2ndw eek.

The problem is my online message haven't changed yet, it still says recd your application on may 10th blha blha..........., this makes me puzzled,

Any thoughts?
 
Which number should the attorney call..

Guys,
Could you please let me know the phone# which the attorney called. Is the 802-527.... still functional. Is there any use in making the attorney call the 800 number...

I called 1-800 number. They say it takes 13 months. If 13 months have passed they can query. I requested her do query for me. She said it will block it is less then 13 months. You may call once you finish 13 months (after 10 of May) and ask her to query. Getting 1-800 number is easy.

Spoke with guy on the 800 number, they took my information and said someone will contact me in coming weeks !!!! :-) Any thoughts

Even I called today she took all my details. Including A number She said i am going to get some kind of response in a month time. Let us see Please keep in touch. update me when ever you have one.

:( they may send print out of status shown on web site It is taking 30 to 360 days process this kind of cases

Similar Experience....

Spoke with a gentleman at BCIS, he collected information like - EAC#,A#, RD, ND, Home address, Email -id, Phone numbers.... He told that someone might contact me in forthcoming weeks..... He realised that I am completing one year today. My RD is 06/11/02.... Let us wait and see!

Atlast it has seen the light , I was gifted with a RFE after a long wait, it is something of changing the category my attorney is goind to answer and send it back , will have to see how long it will take this time :-)

I hope so too. Can you please shed some light on the RFE and how your lawyer is going to reply back to them. I am also in your situation but 2-3 weeks difference on 140 & 485. Thanks Bud.;)

No updates. I have seen four cases approved for my EAC series EAC02202. both of them were RFE cases. One of them responded to RFE on May 30 2003. So you may get once you send response to your RFE.

Please let us know the details of your RFE. Also your EAC series

Thanks , The RFE is about changing EB2 to EB3 , My attorney is taking care of it,

Dear hope I get it:
Could you please write your RFE?
Are they asking to aprove your case if you file EB-2 to EB-3.
