I become a US citizen in 2012. I would like to apply for a GC for my mother.
Mom has remarried 10+years
My biological father passed away 20years ago.
How would i go about applying for both? Can I file for my stepdad? or how do i link him to my mother's application?
I am aware that I can apply for my mom, but they come as a package. My mother would not leave without him.
2. I am not employed, but I do have enough finances to support them. Is there a financial requirement (basically a dollar amount per person ?
3.Do I have to be currently residing in the US? I maybe out in europe for some training, but that depends on how this process would work best.
4. Medical requirement: My mom is 62 and step dad is 60 this year. How have people addressed the medical requirement for parents under 65? and what are the requirements.
- If my parents have a full medical from their country of citizenship, can that satisfy the medical insurance requirement? Health insurance for older persons is expensive in the US, but if they have an international insurance that will be accepted in the US, would this suffice?
Thanks for answering my questions.
