advice about travel on H4 visa

Hi,

Our situation is as follows:

I am the primary applicant.
I am on H1B and my wife on H4.
Our H visas expire on November 1 (6 years).
We have applied for 485 and are waiting.
My wife would like to go to India for a couple of months.
She plans to come back in October.

My questions are:

Would there be a problem re-entering the States since the H4 would expire within a month of her return date. Has anyone done this recently? What documents does she need to carry to travel on H4?

Hi,
Did you apply for AP/EAD along with 485?.
If so, she can use AP to come over to US, even if H1/H4 expires or expiring.
