I am currently trying to prepare a National Interest Waiver/EB-2 application and I hired a lawyer from "Kemp..., Kell.. and Le...-Cal...," based in Chicago, IL. I originally hired this lawyer because they were recommended to me by my previous institution and because they gave me a good first impression when I went for a consultation with them.
However, and after I already paid my retainer fee (ca. half of the toal price), they are taking a bit too long to reply to my messages and editing my letters. I am really worried now that this lawyer may not be paying the best or at least the minimum attention to my case.
Would anybody be able to provide me with any feedback on this firm? (you'll know the complete name if you know anything about them)
What do you suggest?

Thanks

EB2 schedule A, group 2

Hi,

I have a few questions regarding Green Card processing through NIW category. Here is the case:

1. Came to the US on a J1 (September 2004 - September 2005) to a top 3rd ranked US Univerisity on Biochemistry background. My J1 Visa doesnot have any 212E HRR restrictions. Regardless i obtained that 'I donot need any waiver processed on my behalf' from the Department of State.

2. Proceeded to shifting my visa status to H1B and am working as a Data Analyst from a company based out of Atlanta. This job structure doesnot have direct relativity to my qualifications. However made sure that the job structure on my LCA reflected to be a Data Analyst (a very broad category), I'm not sure if that is a positive. The job resposibilities are more of software data analysis in nature.

3. Have 5 papers (International journals) published, 3 in press and 3 (all 3 of those to American journals) more in preparation. Of these i have 3 first author, 5 second author and 3 fourth authorship.

4. The aforementioned publications were from 2005-2006 time period and do not have significant citations yet!

5. Have 8 research articles presented at national and international conferences as posters.

6. Received Gold Medal for graduating in top honors in the university.

7. Lectureship certification from India.

8. my salary is more than 75% of my colleagues (if that helps)

9. I can get excellent references

Most importantly i donot have a PhD just a Bachelors and Masters from India. I donot have any degree awarded by a US University.

Another important thing is that all my publications are in anti-infection and cancer related in nature.

However, was a little apprehensive as the requirements are far more stringent these days for NIWs i guess.

Do you think that i will qualify for EB2 schedule A, group 2

Please advice me on competent lawyers that you know of. Let me know of any websites that help in NIW EB2 preparations.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Many Thanks in advance and

Many Cheers
