Advantages/Disadvantages of early FP

Hi All,

Can you all post your experiences on the following things, with early FP.

1. Did you get early approval with early FP?
2. was your case / FP results delayed until scheduled FP date?
2. Did the FP taking officer gave you hard time when you went for early FP?
3. If this doesn't result into early I-485 approval why people choose to do early FP?
4. If one has travel plans early FP is understood. But what are other advantages of early FP?
5. Are there any disadvantages of early FP?

I don't see any disadvantages of early FP so long as it is possible to do it.
Early FP could make your case available for adjudication earlier.
Simply put: your case won't be approved any sooner if you don't go for early FP, but if you do go for early FP, you have a chance for earlier approval.

Having visited this forum long time my experience says there is no advatnage or disavantage for early FP. It's true that early FP makes case available for adjucation earlier. But, keep in mind that 99% cases are not picked for adjucation (i.e assigned to an officer) immediately after FP. Most of the FP results come thru within 1 weeks and even after that the file keep lying on shelves and start collecting dusts for months/years. If FP could make approval early, people would not have to go for 2nd FP.
This is just my personal opinion though.

I agree. Try for early FP. Some centers allow it and some don't. Try your luck.
