Hi all,

I am currently working on my H1B visa. I have applied for EAD but not AP. If I were to travel to India would I need AP ?

1) If you have an active H1, then you can travel and come back using your H1. You should just show your H1B visa at the Point of Entry. You dont need to show or worry about EAD or AP.

2) But if you H1 is not active (i.e. either expired OR you have used EAD to change your employer) then you would need an AP to re-enter the country.
