I'm from a Special Registration country. Do I have to do the special registration every time I leave and enter the US with advanced parole? Does anyone have any experience with this?
Special registration, I believe is canceled. They are not doing it anymore. However, one person I know visiting in canada for h1 visa was stopped at immigration and made him wait 3 weeks for name check. AP should have no problem.
The old form of special registration which is reporting to the former INS every year is cancelled. I still have to report to an immigration officer on my way in and out of the US. They also stamp your passport on your way in and out.
If you are going out of US for the first time after getting Advance Parole (and you were registred at your last entry) then you will have register while going out.
When you will come enter to US and Exit going forward using Advance parole document, then you dont have register.
Search this forum for 'Secondary Inspection' and Travel with Advance Prole to get more idea what you can expect.
