I am applying for I 485 , but my lawyer says that for Advance parolee
you have to file it at your own or you can go to the local INS office to get the AP, but he is willing to file EAD. I asked him to file my AP along with the other petition then he told me that AP needs lot of follow up with INS, I doubt about this. Do you guys have any info regarding this.

NO, you can file your AP at the same time along with your I-485 and EAD.

I applied my AP along with my I-485 and EAD from VSC. I have
came back from China using my AP.

there is no follow up for AP just submit the letter along with the AP application ,format of that letter can be found on www.immitracker.com . I think you lawyer is making excuse\'s

Thanks for response, I have one more question guys. Recently I am not planning to go abroad or in other words I will not use my AP till DEC 2002, but my I-94 and H1B is expiring in Sep 2002, so is it recommended to apply for AP right now. Eventually I am planning to come on EAD.

Apply for AP along with your I485. Since you are going to use your EAD afer you H1 expires . AP remaing Valid for 1 yr from date of AP Approval..
