I would like to know that if we obtain an AP, for how long is it valid? Is there a time limit for it or could be used whenever we leave the country and come back. Please clarify this doubt.
AP is valid for 1 year from the date of issue.
You can use it as many time you want during its one year validity.
Every time you enter, it will be stamped at the port of entry reflecting the date of entry.
My suggestion:
1. Carry at least 2 copies of Ap when traveling. Keep one at home as a back up.
2. Apply for renewal of AP atleast 5-6 months in advance before the first one expires because there is no surity of obtaining the interim AP now a days.
