Advance Parole

Dear Friends,

I have applied for my Advance Parole yesterday, 11/04 in VSC. Can someone help me how long it is taking for approval these days?

I am leaving the country on 12/11 and I was wondering if it can get approved by then. If not, can I approach the local INS office?

AP Pending since Sep 30th

Hi Hardworker,

I have applied for the renewal of my AP during the last week of Sep. The RD is Sep 30th.. I think it is taking between 30-60 days for an approval..


I too filed I-140 in EB2 category about 5 months before you and it is still pending...
 
I am in the same boat

I have applied for AP extension in last week of Oct and I am not sure If I am going to get it. I had bought tickets to India starting 12/10/2003 two months ago. My current AP expires on 12/04.2003. I have already visited local Boston branch hoping to get it renewed the same day but useless. They had told me I don't qualify for interim AP and there is nothing they can do about my case.

But I had asked my company to get a new H1 for me. I got my H1 Approved so thats a relief for me but I still not completely worry free since I was hoping to use AP as a backup just in case they reject my H1 for some reason ( one of them could be that my last H1 was expired on March'2003 and new visa is Valid from 10/10/2003. so there is a gap between the validity of these two H1 ( I was on EAD during that period) not sure If that would be an issue, but I am going to tak chance.
