Advance Parole

I am on H1-B visa that is valid for another 2 yrs. (Jan 2006). My company has applied for my green card. My labor certification has just been approved. My lawyer wants me to apply for i-140/485 simulataneously. I have heard that after applying for I-485, you need advanced parole to travel out of the country. My lawyer says since I have a valid H1B and a valid stamp on my passport, I do not need to apply for advance parole.

Please advise.
 
You don't need AP to travel as long as you work for your H1B employer and as long as it's not expired.
