Hi,

My husband and I,are working for the same company,which is doing the green card processing for my husband with me being as a dependent on him(Though we both have valid H1-B Visa).
Recenetly we got our EAD approved and now I\'m planning to change my job and join some other company.My question here is that do I need to file for a fresh Advance Parole for myself thru the new company else what should I use at the POE in case I go to India?

I think you are confusing the AP with EAD. My wife was in the same situation...we worked in the same company on H1B and she was my dependent for GC. She was laid-off and she got her EAD...started working for another company immediately (which means her H1B is invalidated!).

Recently, she applied for AP and got it approved...you only need that to go to India or another country for re-entry. She got a multiple entry AP...it is valid till Nov 02.

If you travel, you will need an AP to get back into this country. You have to apply while in this country...normally it takes 30-40 days...it varies from one local office to another.

EAD is valid as long as it is and then you can re-apply for it.

I have my h1 valid for another year.
I have applied for I-485 and AP in Nov 2001.
I am going to India in Jan 2002,
Can I go to India, or do I need to wait for my AP.

You can use ur H1 as long as it is valid. Check with ur lawyer before leaving to India

Hi, I am a "derivative beneficiary" of my spouse\'s GC process waiting for my I-485 approval. I am traveling abroad, got Advance Parole and I-485 receipt notice. What should I carry with me to be showed at the POE besides AP and I-485? Thanks!
