Advance Parole related Question?

Can one get an Advance Parole from local INS with the receipt notice of I-485 application. I am still waiting for the receipt notice. I know, one can get the EAD card at local INS with the receipt notice. But I did not hear any thing about the AP(Advance Parole). Appreciate any comments. Thanks.

Yes you can

You need to go to your local INS office and show them your i-485 filing, etc. and they should give you the AP on the spot. However, you should have a valid reason (an emergency one) that will make them give it to you that day. Otherwise, you\'ll have to apply to VSC for this. This situation generally happens a lot at Newark. However, if you\'re in NY or MA, then you should be able to get AP on the spot.
