Advance Parole Question

I would like to apply for my as well as my family's AP myself and not through my lawyer. My lawyer's charges are extremely high and I need to apply for five APs. Please let me know if there is any problem in applying directly. If I do it myself, should I inform my lawyer about it?
Would highly appreciate any input.
Thanks

My lawyer gave me two options, either they do it ($400 fee) or I do it. Of course I decided to do it myself and waiting for the AP.

Thanks WIN for your reply.
The letter will be really helpful.
Was your lawyer going to charge your $400 for each or for both of you? My lawyer wants to charge 375 each.

Do waste money. Apply yourself. It's very simple form.

Check Immihelp.com for all the documents required. you can get original form from bcis.gov website.

Also If have any questions you can post it here and our friends here will obviously help you.

Edison and WIN,
Thanks for your replies. I will apply myself for AP. I can inform my lawyer later on, if required. As my first finger prints have expired on Sept. 26, it might trigger the 2nd FP (just wishful thinking!). Basically I need AP for visiting Canada.
My RD is 4/29/02 and EAC-02-175-xxxxx. Do you think I have chances of getting approved without 2nd FP as mine is a straight case.
Thanks
