Is Advance Parole is mandatory for GC processing? What if I got my 140&485 approved but I didn't have an advance parole? Will that affect green card stamping in the INS office? Thanks very much.

It is mandatory only if you have pending I-485 and travel abroad. You must have it to re-enter USA. If you don't travel - you don't need it.
