Advance Parole Issue: Not stamped when we used to re-enter and is expiring

Folks:

Pls help me out here: Advance Parole Issue: Not stamped when we used to re-enter in Virginia and is expiring in a week, which was issued by VSC.

Recently my 485 has been transferred (6/25/03) to LA local office and not sure whether they have files yet. My AP is expiring and my questions are:

- Can i apply in any BCIS sub-office within BCIS LA district?
(I may not be able to file in VSC now)

- Is it ok that at POE, they do not stamp AP and I-94 in some cases. (my I-94 good until '04 was taken while departing US?

-Since it is expiring in a week, do i need to renew it now? No plans of going out of US, but with the transfer, i pprefer to renew. But Q is will they accept at local office? (in the past they didnot let me apply for EAD renewal citing my 485 is at VSC)

1. You can apply AP at local office since your case is already transferred to local office.

2. Sometimes officer at POE makes such mistake. But you should be fine since you have no plan to use the current AP to travel before expiry.

3. If you got valid I-94 at POE then you should be fine.
 
Don't worry, you should only need a valid passport for interview or stamping your passport after your approval, you do not need anything else !

Of course, you can explain the situation at the time of interview in case you need to !!

AP is only needed for travel purpose, you should not renew if you do not any plan to travel outside.

thanks, but no I-94 stamp was issued

Will find out more by visiting local office.

That way things get clearer.

- Status of 485 case transfer which office district/sub-office, if they received files

- Will apply for AP renewal based on that update 'coz of uncertianity of interview process, costs few hundred bucks.
