Advance Parole I-131 Nebraska

Hi everyone,

I filed for an advance parole for my wife on Oct 19, 2002. I got a receipt date of Oct 22, 2002 from Nebraska Service Center.
Till date(12/30/2002), I have not received any advance parole in the mail. Secondly, I checked the INS web site for case status check and it says that it takes 180-210 days to process this specific type of case, yet the processing times update states that the Nebraska Service center was processing Oct 16 , 2002 cases
on December 1, 2002.

Any ideas on how long would it take. i tried calling the customer service number for Nebraska and it is always busy.

I was planning on travelling in the middle of January but it seems like I might have to postpone it.

What is your current status and why would you want to use advance parole if you are an asylee?
