Hi everyone,

My Advance Parole was approved on Nov 22, 15 days went through an I have not received anything at home. I call IIO this morning, very unpleasent conversation, the system of history upgrates is not working and he didn't want to give me any more information. Finally I could get him check on the case and his only suggestion is to apply again!!. I ask about local office and he told me that no help from him on this because is up to the local office.....
Please, somebody has any suggestion on what to do next?.
I plan to go to local office on monday, but I would appreciate any help or suggestions from you.
Thanks,
Malda

malda,
Have you checked if your attorney has received it? I received my original AP's from my lawyer. Even otherwise if it has been misplaced in the mail, you should be entitled to a duplicate copy from the INS if the AVM/online message says that you've been approved.

I applied to Advance Parole by myself, then my layer has nothing on that.
I asked to IIO about a copy from them because they approved the case. No luck, he told me that the originals were sended to me and they are no valid copies that they can send to me.

I told you ..... was not a pleasant conversation with IIO this morning.

Thanks anyway nkaveti,
Malda

It is a quite a possibility that your lawyer received it.
Initially when we applied for EAD and AP , both came to our home address, but the renewals went to lawyer's office.
and you will be surprised both got renewed in 11 days.
we applied in last week of august, and by september first week , we had both.
My friend's original green cards went to lawyer's office and from lawyer's office accidentally no body picked it and cards went back to INS. My friends waited almost eight months and decided to call INS and they said cards were sent out, they came back and now we are waiting for the address update, infact neither my friend's changed their address, or the lawyer. Finally after initial call to INS they got the cards in a week. This happened with TSC.
so better check with lawyer.

sorry, I didn't see your reply that you applied it by yourself and not through lawyer.

malda - hang on

As long as you address has not changed you should wait - malda - here is why

1. Nov 22 approval was the web site approval date- that is not the mailing date.

2. the mailing guys have not been touching mail during the thanksgiving period. (My EAD application that had a MD Nov 16 was not entered in the INS computer for 2 weeks at least - I still do not have the receipt in the mail.)

I did receive the Acknowledgement due from USPS saying that the mail was delivered on Nov 18.

3. the fact that an IIO does not speak properly does not change anything - everything will happen - keep a copy of the internet approval and wait till the IIO can give you a date when it was actually mailed to your residence.

Just my thoughts

Thank you very much for your thoughts dinosaur.
A few days ago I asked to the people how long to get notice at home after approval, some people approved the day before mine or even 3-4 days after already got their approvals at home.... it's for this that I'm concerned.
I think that the mail going in and out of VSC follow different rules.
On November 22 is when the notice was mailed, I expressed myself wrong in the first post...
Anyway.... I still hope to received it on time...
Thanks,
Malda
