I485 applied in May2002. Adv parole renewal applied in Apr 2003. Self approved in June 2003. Wife's still pending since 7 months. Visited Local INS office. Reply is they can not process. Please advise what to do.

I am in the same case. My case was approved real quick. My wife's case has been pending for almost 5 months. What hecks going on there? Anyone can give some guess/advice?

BTW, I am in Detroit area too. Did MI governor do something wrong with USCIS? Or another round of extra security check for MI AOS applicant's wife only.

If your AP is pending longer than the stated time, you can launch an inquiry. After waiting for almost 7-8 months, I called BCIS and asked why my application was waiting longer than their processing dates. The operator (probably some ignorant contractor) said they would launch an inquiry. I received a letter about a week later that was ridiculous. It said they were taking more time with my case. That's it. However, 2-3 weeks after that my AP was approved. Don't know if the inquiry helped, but it didn't hurt for sure in my case.

I think your spouse's AP would have been approved but returned to NSC by postal deprtment. Call NCSC and launch an inquiry, you'll get AP with in 30 days. I had similar experience. I also live in Detroit suburbs

I launched an inquiry at end of Oct, and NSC returned a letter saying that the case is pending blah blah... nothing is solid. So far, i haven't seen the status change. The AP application has been there for almost 5 months. It seems that they still have yet to touch it. How can I do right now? Another inquiry by end of Nov.?
