Advance Parole case not found!!

Hi,
I had filed my renewal for Advance Parole on August 15 at Chicago Lock Box office and I have received the receipt notice with August 16 with a MSC number. When I tried to enquire about the case in case status, its says its Invalid Number(my receipt number). I tried almost for the last 3 days, but still I am getting the online message.

I even tried calling MSC with the 1800 number and when I key in the MSC number, it says its invalid. I dont know if this is a typo on my receipt notice. My check has also been encashed for $ 165.00 and even my check has the same receipt number.

I dont know what to do. I am sending a letter today to Missouri Service Center to see whats going on.

Is anyone in the similar situation or even heard of this situation from any of your friends.

The last time i spoke to the customer service at USCIS, i was told there is a major change going to happen soon to the USCIS and online status website. This is the reason why some records are not being updated on a regular basis. I filed for AP Jul 1 and my receipt number is still not recognized online or when i call the 1800#. This is pretty normal and there are a lot of people here who cant see their case status online but got their cases approved.

Don't worry. I have the same situation as your case. I filied my I131 at end May, but I can't access my status on-line, my case only can show in system when it was approved on 7/27 (almost 2 months after I filed). If you worry, you can call 1-800-XXXX and checking your status. Be patient when you call them as it's not easy to access to the representatives. Actually, you only can check your case status on phone when you talk with the officer.

It's wise to write a letter to them, but I don't think they will update your case to the system until it was approved. Since I have wirtten a letter to them inquire of my case not shown on line before, they only update my case status online when my case was approved.
