My daughter (aged 3 years) was on B2 and we had filed for her extension in Dec'2003 for upto July'2004. Since I did not receive a decision on this extension by June (other than the receipt notice), I filed for her I-485 application in July'2004 based on my citizenship. The approved advance parole document was received in August'2004.
In September we all of a sudden received approval on her earlier filed B2 extension but the approval date on this extension is just for the month of September (from 8/31/2004 - 9/30/2004). We had asked for extension from Jan'2004 - June'2004.
My daughter is all set to go out of US for a trip abroad at the end of this month and would use advance parole document to re-enter.
How does this sudden approval of her B2 (on 8/31/2004) play in with the pending adjustment of status application filed in July'2004 ? What would be her current status ? Would there be issues on re-entering US with advance parole document ?
