Advance parole after filing I-360

Hi,
My flatmate, a british citizen, started her green card process 4 years ago when she married a US citizen. Unfortunately her husband passed away due to a heart condition after two and half years of their marriage. Shortly after she filed for I-360 to maintain legal status in this country. In April she had her interview for the I-485, after which her case is under furthur review. INS says the case could be up for review in 1 - 2 years. Her lawyer says that she should remain in the country till this gets approved and might not be able to travel outside the US.

1) What are the chances that the case gets approved without further roadblocks.
2) Is it possible for her to travel out of the country in the meanwhile. Is she eligible for filing Advance Parole?

Thanks in advance.

She must not travel outside US till get GC

One more I-360's victim
