I need help.
I am a beneficiary of my husband’s process, 485-I based on employment, to obtain the permanent resident. My husband is covered by the law 245-I to be able to adjust his status. When he added me to his process, even though I was no unlawfully present in USA for 180 days or more I had to pay the fee to be covered by the law 245-I too. Last year (2006), we had the interview (which is suppose to be the last step of the process) and since then the only thing we have heard from the immigration department is that they are reviewing our file. The problem I have now is that one of the family members is very sick and I need to go to my country. A week ago I applied to get the advance parol to be able to travel but today I was told that since the process that I am in is covered by the 245-I, my 485-I process can be cancel or denied.
Is that true???
