Administrative Processing- NVC Case Review

Folks,

I checked the status of my review at the end of 8 weeks and what the operator tells me is that my case review was completed today but there will have to be a follow-up "Administrative Processing" on the case and declined to tell me when the case will be forwarded to the Consulate. The operator also mentioned that these checks are done for everyone- dont know if that is true ?

Folks, please let me know if there is a reason to be alarmed here. And are these checks done for every case review ???

Congrats on completion of NVC review. YEs admin check does happen these days for many folks...in some cases at NVC and some cases at consulate. It is better if it happens at NVC else if it happens at consulate then one can get stuck in the home country due to admin check. Admin check clearance generally takes about 4 weeks but can in some cases take upto 12 weeks. There is nothing much one can do hence do not get stressed out.
 
Any idea what could have triggerred administrative processing ??- Getting speeding tickets ?? SSN fraud/credit card fraud ?? or..... ???? I do not understand.

What upsets me is that they sat on my case for 8 weeks and after 8 weeks they complete the review and let my case go for additional screening. They could have done this 3-4 weeks ago.
