Hello!
Since there is so much backlog on the adjudication of Adjustment of Status applications, and it is taking up to 2 years to be approved. Does this waiting time counts towards the 5-year requirement before applying to Citizenship? I know that the 1 year requirement before applying to adjustment of status does count towards the 5 year, so you'd only have to wait 4 year. But what if the adjudication takes 2 years, does this waiting period also counts? while your AOS application is pending? So, at the end you'd only have to wait the remaining time. I hope this is clear. Thanks!
