Address in DS-230

Hi All,

I did NOT mention my address in INDIA any where in my DS-230 Part1.The Channai consulate will send the Package4(DS-230 part2) to my US address right?

I am confused by going thru all posts here, every body says they have recieved thier package4, interview date mailed to thier India address.

Anybody could clarify please.

The Packet 4 will be mailed to an address that is different that the one mentioned in DS230 Part I ONLY IF you specifically request for it.

Otherwise it would come to the address mentioned in this form.

If indeed you want the packet at an address in India, send an email to the
Consulate after your case reaches them.

Hi Raju,

Thank you for your reply. I think I send an email with my India address.Becuase, It would take 20 days some times to send any thing from India (Chennai Consulate) to US.

What do you think.

That is what people have been doing generally. But in general people have been happy receiving it in US also.

I just got the Appointment letter from chennai consulate with no packet 4 forms .In the document they said me to provide a local indian address so that they can send packet 4 forms .

You mean that you recieved the Appointment letter from chennai consulate to your US address??(with no packet 4 forms)

And how are you going to provide your India address. Are you going to call the chennai consulate?
