I am working as contractor and lived in different places with apartment addreses for more than 9 months. Still I have used my own address to file my tax return. When I look at my credit hostory profile, it is showing my temporary addresses in address history but this contracts my tax filing. So my question is when filling the address history on N-400, do I use the one on my credit history file or do I use the one on my tax return? Thanks in advance for help.

ajamore,

You use address of places where you call 'home':

1. Utility bills, credit card statements, bank statements, lease papers, are some of the prrofs of your address verification.

2. Your DL also plays an improtant part in the application. You will be asked for the DL at the time of the interview and the last address should match the one on DL unless you have moved since you filed in which case you update the application on your new address.

All of this should correspond to the address used in your latest Tax return. USCIS does not need your credit history and will not be doing any cross reference of your credit report.
