Hi All - wanted to share this information based on my first hand experience:
The address 2501, S State Hwy 121 Business Suite 400 , Lewisville TX 75067 has AUTO FORWARDING setup at the post office. So if you mail express mail to this address, it will go the forwarding pool and get auto forwarded to another PO box (USCIS has an address change on file with the postal department). This can take anywhere from 3- 7 days to get delivered. The USPS next day guarantee that comes with Express mail is limited to the delivering at the first address. The post office will not share what the new forwarded address is ....so there is no option/workaround for this problem. This has created a major problem in my travel planning ....very unfortunate that USCIS is not giving the correct address to mail expedited packages delaying it more than normal packages.
If someone has urgent travel plans, please rework your plans and add a few days due to this delay.
I have one qn in this regard- if travel plans are fixed and there is too little time for biometrics, is there a way to cancel the I 131 application ? Come back to the US within 6 months and apply for REP at a later date ? What is the procedure for this ? Can we put a hold on the check ?
