Address change...

I have my 485 pending in TSC. I moved recently to Boston ( VSC ). I have given the change of address to TSC. But they wont move the case to VSC, because VSC has to make a specific request for that. WHen I spoke with VSC, they said that TSC has to send the files. So I need to make a request there. So I went to the local INS office today, and was told that TSC will adjudicate ( which could be more than a year, atleast - Dec 2000 is my date ) and then send the file to this local INS office.

Anybody been through anything similar ?

Thanks

sc may not change

Prabha,

My company is based in the East coast, and my GC processes (labor, 140 and 485) were applied via VSC. During the gc process of about 2 years, I moved 4 times, and I was in Missouri, Ohio, Idaho and now in California. I just kept on giving my change of address as they occured, but my case remained with VSC and VSC timelines applied. I think TSC may work the same way.

I got this from one of my friends that in case of a missing evidence, if your address is in VSC jurisdiction(case also with VSC), then you might get a local transfer, but if you\'re in a state that is not under VSC, you\'re likely to get RFE. This could be true and may apply to TSC as well.
