- Is it or is it not a problem to have an address change for a pending AoS application?
- I have read USCIS mails get forwarded, I have other threads that say it does not get fwded.

No problem.
You MUST file AR-11 to update your address with homeland security within 10 days of moving.
To actually update the address of any pending cases, you have to phone the USCIS customer service number. The AR-11 does NOT update these.
Once done you will get a letter saying your address has been updated. No big deal.

AR-11 Form : Help in filling the form

Hi!

I am on I485 since last 2 years and I am moving to new address. While filling form AR-11, I am not sure what to write in Column 'If Not a Permanent Resident, My Stay in the US Expires on (DATE)' .

Is 'EB I485 Pending' or just 'I-485' Pending' is OK.

Since this is a date field, I want to make it sure that any text is OK.

You should write "Applicant to Adjust status" based on your pending 485.
I was told by the 800- # to write the status I entered, which was expired. And I didn't listen to the representative. Cause basicly I-485 back up legal status. I have no idea why the lady gave such answer. It's completely out of logic. And I appeared to be right.
