If the residential address changes and 140/485 is pending then

1) Is there anything that needs to be done other than filiing AR11.
2) If service center has to be informed then Who needs to do this . ( Since 140 is petition of employer should the candidate for whom 140 has been applied inform the service center ? )

should it be attorney or the candidate himself

response would be appreciated

==> Yes, you have to call the NCS number and inform them of the change of address. You will be asked for the receipt number of each pending application (485/EAD/AP), your A#, your old and new address and phone number. Sending AR11 form does NOT change the address for your applications. (USCIS is not that well databased and organized !!)

==> Applicant has to inform personally. If its your wifes application then she has to do it, or be present when you call. I-140 is employer application and you donot and cannot change the addres for that. Only worry about your 485/EAD and AP applications that are pending.

Also, there are dozens of threads regarding cange of address and you should do a search on this as this is a very commen question.

Apart from AR11, most important thing to do is call the USCIS 1 800 .. number and notify them about the address change. Have your Alien registration number and pending application's receipt numbers handy while calling USCIS. If you have a derivative ask him/her also call USCIS and notify them.

And you will have to do this NOT your employer.

Another important point is that AR-11 needs to be received by Dept of Homeland Security within 10 days of change of address.
