Address change triggers transfer to local office for interview

I am in final stages of I-485 (ND: May 2003).
Project coming to an end. Most probably I will have to move to a new location like Chicago or Dallas or Tampa...DC etc.
I had lots of problems when I did my change of address last time.
Despite AR-11, calls every month, it took 6 months for address change to show up in USCIS databases. In the mean time, I missed my FP notice and my EAD/AP was delayed by 9 months.

I just want to make sure that change of address at this late stage would not trigger a trasfer of case to local USCIS office for Interview. I am aware that some local offices are backlogged by years.

Any comments or direction is welcome.

Thanks.

how do you know whether your new address shows in USCIS database?

when you call USCIS custom service (1-800-375-5283), can the representive see the database and tell you the address?

I dont think an address change would trigger a transfer. Even I've made address change twice (twice in two years) since my application was pending. Even I had done the same thing both those times...Filing AR11, calling up USCIS, sendin address change letters (multiple times) to USCIS.
Second time, my address never got updated even after all those efforts. During my second FP, i asked them to update my address.

Anyway...my case never was transferred to the local office.

How did you know that your new address was not updated?
