Address Change Report to CIS

I just moved in the past weekend (Aug. 27). My new and old places are not
too far in Boston area and my lease of the old place will end on Sept. 30.
Since I am waiting for the result of pending I-485 (I-140 NIW approved on June 13, 2005, concurrent filing of 140 and 485 on Feb. 7, 2005, VSC) I am
wondering in I need to report to CIS the change of address now. I still have
one more month at the old address. Does anyone have the experience
reporting to CIS the change of address with pending 485? I heard of more
reporting actions with pending 485.

Does anybody know if US post office forward CIS mail to my new address? That's kind of worry that some important mails would NOT be forward by the
US post office. Is is true?

Thanks for help!

You never know how long it will take before 485 processed. So just get your address updated to be safe. It is not too hard. Call them and have a coffee for 25 mins, then it is your turn.

When you call, make sure you double/triple confirm the addresses the other information.
I called and asked for address early this month. But in a mail I received later, they mistyped my last name and my alien # when updating the system...
