Hi Guru's,

My 485 case is pending in Nebraska INS, RD 04/11/02...
I moved from columbus to texas recently, and i want to send
AR11 form informing INS about my change of address...

My Question is : By updating the address, does Nebraska INS
automatically transfer my case to Texas INS or since i am just
6 months away from getting approval (Hopefully...) do they let
it stay at Nebraska INS???

Thanks In Advance,
Novice

Do Yourself A Favour

In addition to filing the AR-11 form, call the NSC, and make sure they update their records over the phone. BCIS mail is not forwarded on via the Post Office, and they have literally millions of Ar-11's coming into them. You don't want to run the risk of not getting a notice. Some of them cannot be replaced (like AP), and would require a new application. If you applied with a partner or children, make sure that they are all there when you call, because the IIO will not update case details for anyone else than the person on the phone. (Stupid, because they don't verify your identity anyway, but a policy they are rigid on).

what paulclarke1 is saying is correct.

Ask your attorney to submit the change of Address to INS NE.
My attorney did this for me.

After 10 days or so, call INS to check the address has been updated or not. If necessary keep calling INS every week until your address is updated. Do not neglect in this regard, somebody got an RFE since both spouses had different address.
Good luck.
