ADDRESS CHANGE QUESTION please help

HI!

I got my green card in July 2003. I was laid off in December 2003. Since then I am looking for job without any success. My house lease is ending in May 2004. I don't want to get caught up in another lease as I am not sure where will I get job and how long it will take. So I want to move to less expensive and few months lease.

I came to know that I have to report address change to BCIS. When I checked the AR-11 FORM, there is a column that asks for employment address. If I write unemployed, what will be the consequences?. How AR-11 forms are processed by BCIS?

reddy.

"If I write unemployed, what will be the consequences?. "

If you were laid off, and you had an intention to work for the sponsoring employer indefinetly at the time of becoming permanent resident, there will be no adverse consequences.
