Address Change question- 2 Addresses?

Any address change needs to be notified/reported using the AR-11 form. This is for those who shift their primary residence from one place to another.

But what if we have 2 residences? One primary residence and one secondary residence.Secondary residence is closer to work where a person stays for the duration of work and returns back frequently to the primary residence. Secondary residence is exactly like a hotel/motel but instead is an apartment/house taken on a short term lease.

Is this an address change? As long as you maintain your primary residence do we have to inform BCIS about this secondary residence? Does maintaining a secondary residence warrant a address change notification?

My view is that here there is no address change involved. Primary residence is still there. Nobody has moved out from there.

Am I correct in this intrepretation?

Yes, you are correct in your interpretation. That's is the same justification my attorney gave me regarding change of address.

Thanks for the replies. So the secondary residence can also be an apartment taken on a lease?

Saisiree,

Have you ever maintained a secondary residence in a similar way?

Anybody else who has taken a secondary residence in a similar way?

Appreciate your help.

One of my friends who works at Price Water Coopers has his GC approved by giving only the primary address. He had numerous secondary addresses based on his project. He never informed BCIS about that.

frantic,

Those numerous secondary residences of your friend are I believe apartments which have been taken by him on lease and NOT furnished corporate apartments provided by his employer or client. Please confirm.
