I am new to the forums. I have a question with regards to the change of address notification (to the INS) requirement that I heard on the news today. If I were to understand correctly, it is required that even permanent residents are required to notify change of address with in 10 days after moving from one place to another. However, nowhere (including the INS website) was I able to find any information as to if this law is effective from today or retroactive. I became a permanent resident in 1997 and I moved last year when I bought my home. Can any one please advise what I am/was supposed to do based on the address change notification law?
