Address change, I learnt something new today

I went to St. Louis office today to get my passport stamped. The lady told me if I need to change my address I am better off just going back to their office and do it there rather than sending address change form to NSC. Her explanation was, they process address changes the next day and they get to the system right away, while it takes NSC quite sometime to do the same thing. I am sure she wasn't marketing their service, she was just being informative.

Good luck

When stamped in early August, I was told in local CIS office I had to send the new address to NE service center. anyone else can confirm htis?

May 2002,

I hope I am not getting back with you late. The stamping went very smooth. I didn't use InfoPass to make an appointment and just walked in on Tuesday. There was a glitch in the process that was totally my fault, I left my photos in my car and had to walk back 4 blocks to get them, meanwhile they worked on my file and got everything in the system and prepared the paperwork. When I got back to the office with my photos all I needed to do was sign the paperwork and give them my fingerprints which took only a nimute. She told me it would take 6-9 months to get the card.

you are taking all you need and are good to go.

Good luck!
