Hi All,
I am US citizen and applied a green card for my brother in 1998 from chicago. Now I moved to new jersey area. My question is: once the green card application gets approved - do INS sent some thing to me or they will send all the approved documents to my relatives in india? If they send docs to me - i will not get those papers as i moved to different location 2 years back. Do i need to submit any change of address form or something? Please let me know.
Thanks

This is from personal experience with sponsoring in the immediate relative category. From what I know, the relative gets the paper from US consulate in India. Probably the Mumbai consulate will send papers to your relative, once it gets the approved I130 and the affidavit of support from NVC in New Hampshire.

But it's always useful to notify BCIS of a new address--so you don't lose out on any mail sent to you in connection with your brother's petition. Or, you could arrange with your local post office as well.

Thanks for the reply.
One question though. I search on the ins site and i found that there is AR-11 for for address change. Does this apply in my case? Because I am the one who file the case. And there is no column in that form where I can give reference number of my application. Please help.

Since you are an USC you don't need AR11--just call BCIS and inform them, as suggested by Sachin P.
