Address change for visa extension application

My parents had filed an Extension of Stay (I-539) for the B-2 visa for an additional 3 weeks due to a medical emergency. They left within that time but the application is still pending. The address on the application was mine which has recently changed. My question is what is the best way to update this address for this application?

1) Option 1: Call USCIS and change it by myself. My parents cannot call from their home country for various reasons.

2) Option 2: Use the online change of address form, but we'd need to fill out the online AR-11 first which indicates that the applicants are still in the US. One can bypass the AR-11 by saying he's a US citizen and jumping to the I-539 form directly, but that's misleading.

3) Option 3: Do it by writing to the concerned service center.

I tried option 1 and was told I could not do it because I needed to be the applicant. Option 2 is also somewhat fishy especially since its for an extension of stay. I do not want USCIS to somehow think that my parents are still in the country. Option 3 seems to be the best one for now but it's going to be slow. Anyone else have any better suggestions? Thanks.
