Address change during OCI at Chicago!

I have posted here on my OCI application still not acknowledged from Chicago!

While waiting for the OCI aknowledgement to come from Chicago Consulate, I will be moving to Connecticut. Other than the postal forwarding of the acknowledgement, I see no other way to deal with it.

I am hoping that unlike US immigration letters, this is forwardable to the new address. Do you guys think that there is any other avenues for me to not miss the OCI papers? Any previous experiences in this matter will be appreciated.

I am also in the same situation and I had sent the same question to Chicago,CGI and received following reply from RS Badwal.

'While seeking you OCI document, as and when they are ready, you may indicate your new address.'

My question to RS Badwal is as follows.
Presently I am living in Michigan and I had applied for OCI on July 19, 2007 with Chicago, CGI. So far I have not received any acknowledgement from the consulate. In the meantime due to my job I had to relocate to different state Nebraska, but this state comes under San Francisco jurisdiction. So what should I do? What is the procedure? Please let me know.

RS Badwal Answer is:
'While seeking you OCI document, as and when they are ready, you may indicate your new address.'

But what do I use as the reference to do the change of address? I don't have any acknowledgement and hence a File Number to refer to.

Do I do it with my name and the online reference number (starting with USACIXXXXXXX)?
