Address Change during I-485

Filed I-485 in April , 2002 and in the waiting que. I have to move from my present address to another but local in the same area. Could it be a problem for I-485 approval. If no , then what are the best steps.?

Also I filed I-485 on the future employment basis but could not work with this company after filing I-485 (Labor & I-140 got approved when I was on thier payroll i.e for 1.5 year(s)). I am with another company for the last 4-5 months (6-7 months was on bench) with higher salary and same status / job.

1. Is it ok?
2. Is it necessary to work with them (who filed my GC) after GC
3. Can they withdraw my I-140? (Its now 15 months over I-485)

Problem or not, you have to file AR-11 within 10 days of moving to the new address AND inform VSC. It's the law!
 
Even i also moved within the same city and filed ar11. It is easy. Just make sure u call them up and check that the current address is there in ur case. When i did this i could call VSC directly. Dont know how u would do that now! Thanks.

I also did the same thing. When I called them, they mentioned my new address. But, they sent my second FP notice to my old address. You expect unexpected things from BCIS.
 
Changing residence should not be a problem, i've changed twice within 40 mile radius. Inspite of filing AR-11, BCIS doesnt have the latest address, so call them positively.

Your other question about working for sponsoring employer, you had mentioned "could not work with this company after filing I-485". If it's six months after filing 485, you might be able to invoke AC21. Not sure what the consequences might be if it's less than 6 months. Check with a lawyer.
 
I don't think address change, so long as it is local, is even a factor. I changed my address 3 times after filing 485 and never had any issue because of it. I got my passport stamped today so I am speaking from first hand experience.
 
I have moved New York to Florida. I -485 is pending since August 2002. If I inform VSC will it transfer the case? How does it work?

my case is alrady pending 15 months, and I had to move
from one street to another in the same town. I got forwarding
from my old address to PO.BOX. Just wonder if not filling change of address would be safe... Assuming that my new address is temporary, 2-3 months?
